Page title styling can be set in Theme Options - Page Title. Here are a few styling variations and their corresponding settings:
Background
1. Solid Color

Height
Page title height can be adjusted using Vertical Padding.
Smaller page title headings (Page Title Tag) like H2 or H3 will usually look good with smaller vertical paddings:
Bigger titles like H1 will require larger vertical paddings to balance out content and white space:
Alignment
The default content alignment for page title is left, but it can also be set to center:
